PERKEO Copper Bit with adjustable bit holder – Lockdown24

The new PERKEO copper bit with adjustable holder “Lockdown24” eliminates the problem of loose pins. The copper bit is screwed into the newly developed copper bit holder with a M8 screw and can be retightened if necessary. This allows the bits to be replaced and the holder to be reused. The holder has toothing inside which ensures a secure hold.

Hard-to-reach corners and areas can be soldered more easily thanks to the new 360° adjustment option. The copper bit can be rotated to the desired position by loosening the M8 screw.

The pin of the holder is flattened on the fastening side. This ensures a tight fit in the soldering iron and keeps the copper bit from twisting during soldering.

For faster heat transfer, the new “Lockdown24” copper bits are based on a tried and tested PERKEO technology and additional holes have been added. The three holes on the underside of the bit of the hammer-shaped models increase the contact surface of the propane flame, which is over 1000°C hot, and thus ensure faster heat transfer.

In addition, the base material of the “Lockdown24” consists of hot-pressed electrolytic copper 99.9 (Cu-ETP). This high-quality copper material has a high thermal conductivity and storage capacity. This mean that the copper bit heats up to working temperature in less than 55 seconds – the base material also ensures maximum heat storage and reduces gas consumption during soldering.

And last, but not least, the hot pressing or forging of the high-quality electrolytic copper results in a higher density of the copper material, which ensures a long service life of the copper bit during soldering.
