   Used these snips extensively in aluminum, but eventually switched to compound snips when I started working with steel as I was under the impression these snips were for thinner metal.

   A couple of years later, the wider opening of the compound snips caused me to get stress injuries in my wrist and as an experiment, I switched back to these snips. At first I found them harder to use, but once you get adjusted to the extra hand strength needed, they’re much more comfortable to use. I regularly use them to cut 20 gauge steel with no issues.

   The pointiness of the tips is a huge bonus over most other snips, and the smaller range of motion makes them more comfortable to use. Overall, an ideal snip, once you get used to it.

   Been using these snips for over a year I love the nice clean cuts and the fact that they have stayed as sharp as they were the day I bought them, you can’t beat the quality stubai offers definitely an asset to anyone looking for a clean cut without having to make relief cuts.
